Program Registration-
Open January 8th

Bloom Skills Centre is a non-profit organization focused on education and skills development. We provide unique programming for young adults aged 18-30, with intellectual and developmental exceptionalities, who wish to work towards greater independence and future employment. While there is a social component, there is an expectation that participants are actively engaged in the development of their skills. Although all measurables are based on the individual, participants are accepted into our programming based on their willingness to learn. We believe that skills can be taught, but only if the willingness is there to do so.

We will employ an array of inclusive strategies and approaches to support all participants’ needs so that they can progress to the best of their ability.

Our programming consists of two streams; our life skills stream for greater independence and our employment stream, working towards job placement. At entry, every participant begins in the life skills stream, to develop a strong foundation and for our organization to assess how we can best support their learning journey. Everyone also experiences learning in both of our programs; the Birds, Bees, and Butterflies Gardening Program and the CommUnity Café Food Service Program. This helps solidify the understanding of the Seed to Table approach of our programs.
